Meet the Team
Willis was founded by Wayne Naphtal with the intent to develop senior living properties. Wayne is a 35-year real estate veteran responsible for companywide development, design, marketing, product strategy, new business, expansion, and overall project execution. Prior to forming Willis Development, Wayne founded First Family Homes and led the full cycle of acquisition, development, and disposition of a large portfolio of multi-family apartments and single-family subdivisions. Mr. Naphtal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University School of Law. He is also a California Licensed Real Estate Broker.
Corey is responsible for the overall real estate acquisition, development, financial analysis and disposition strategy of Willis. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA and is a licensed real estate Broker. Corey has been involved in the site acquisition, entitlement, and development of over $350,000,000 of ground up senior living development since 2010. Prior to seniors housing, Corey managed land development for a large residential development firm; and was the acquisition manager for a private, fully integrated nationwide shopping center investment firm with a portfolio in excess of $800M.
Michael plays an integral role in the pre-construction efforts and is responsible for assembling and managing Willis Development’s projects. Michael maintains and oversees all aspects of development including, pre-planning, plan checks, financial feasibility, project coordination, construction quality and construction oversight. Michael’s attention to detail and hands-on approach has helped maintain a list of properties suited to different needs and budgets. Michael works with the team to drive revenue through maximizing occupancy and maintaining the highest standards by personally providing quality control over every inch of every building. Michael graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA degree.
Michael is a proven leader with expertise managing large teams, developing program scopes, and organizing project priorities with a track record of successful execution meeting the Owner’s budget, schedule, and quality expectations. Michael developed renovation budgeting models for multiple Hotel Brands and Senior Housing communities. Michael is now focused on providing full construction management services for senior living service communities.
